Infrastructure at Work: Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link

Currently, commuters must travel by ferry, which takes approximately 45 minutes, not including waiting time. The new link will support both trains and cars. Commuters travelling by car will have a commute of approximately 10 minutes, and commuters traveling by train will have a commute of approximately 7 minutes. Tunnel vs. Bridge

That decision is set to be made by 2012.

What’s Next?
