“This home’s design is all about moving light throughout the interior to make the homeowner feel connected with the outdoors,” says Yuhasz, founder ofQRI Construction Corp.in Supply, North Carolina. “The energy-efficientSimonton ProFinish®Master windows we used in the home’s construction allowed us to build an abundance of light flow into this home. I’m especially pleased with the two-story interior tower staircase that floods the house with natural sunlight.”

The 3,070-square-foot show home was designed by Ocean 3 Designs out of Wilmington, North Carolina, and visited by hundreds during the special event. Priced in the $450,000 to $500,000 range, theENERGY STAR®compliant home was presold before the parade of homes.

“The new homeowners will really enjoy the low-maintenance aspects of this home,” says Yuhasz. “Along with the easy-care vinyl windows, there are hardwood and ceramic floors, granite countertops, and exterior siding that all require very little upkeep.

“It’s the universal energy efficiency, quality, and details of the home that make this house a winner. TheSimonton windowsare a great example. Their quality of construction and ease of installation and operation, matched up with their thermal factors and wind ratings, simply can’t be beat.”

Accented by Bahama-style decorative shutters on the exterior of the tower staircase, each custom-made Simonton ProFinish Master window in this home features ProSolar® Low-E glass with an Argon gas fill and crisp white vinyl frames. The Intercept spacer system and dual glazed insulated glass units help ensure maximum energy efficiency and that every window meets ENERGY STAR requirements.

“I’ve used Simonton windows on more than 60 projects in the past and keep coming back to Simonton as my preferred window product,” says Yuhasz. “These windows are clearly winners … and they help make my homes winners!”

The QRI Construction parade of homes entry, which included a variety of Simonton Double Hung, Colonial Casement, and Picture windows, also received awards for “Best Trim” and “Best Outdoor Living Space” in the competition.
